Manta is able to provide guests with a unique dining experience. The incredible view, warm atmosphere, high standard of service and fresh seasonal menu ensures that your experience at Manta is truly memorable. Manta offers a plethora of seasonal seafood dishes sourced directly from Australian and New Zealand waters. Lovely spot and wonderful weather. Food was curiously off centre. Natural oysters were much below standards set at Sydney fish markets. My fish of day was cooked OK but nothing special. Service was competent without ever becoming engaging. A little disappointed.

“Poor Service and over priced”
Reviewed March 31, 2013

The service was very slow considering that the restaurant was half empty. The food was OK, but you expect a lot more when paying north of $60 for a main.Dirty plates were only removed after we called a waiter and the water was not automatically topped up. The setting at Woolloomooloo is very pleasant. Whach out for the Sunday surcharge which is small print at the end of the menu. I didn't even turn to that page so the extra 10% was quite a suprise on top of their already hefty prices-

“There are better restaurants on this Wharf”
Reviewed March 24, 2013

Out of a party of five, no-one left impressed. The responses ranged from it was OK to "what an insult".

My main complaint was that steaks ordered by two people in the party were undercooked, when asked for them to be put back on the grill for a little longer the steaks were returned almost burnt. Quite insulting considering that the price of $54, with no accompaniment.

What have I learnt? Don't go back to the same restaurant againif the first experience was bad.

Overall there are a lot of fabulous restaruants along this beautiful Wharf in Wooloomooloo. I recommend you choose one of these instead.

“Comfortable & chic with a killer view”

Great place to have drinks or Sunday brunch - right on Cowper wharf. Very cool, open and fun. Killer bloody marys. Very comfortable seating and great food. Highly recommend.

“Good but not memorable”
Reviewed March 13, 2013

On Cowper Wharf, nice outlook over the private marina. I was a little disappointed that all the restaurants along the wharf looked and felt exactly the same. Had dinner here on a Saturday night. I found service to be very good, there were plenty of staff at the time, and all of them were helpful and friendly.

The children were welcome and we were given a table with easy access to take the kids outside if they became noisy.

The food was very good. The downside for me was this did not feel like anything special ... the prices are high, which we expected, but we did not leave the restaurant thinking we would come back again in the future.
