This was my first visit to Govinda's and having read some of the reviews I was a bit apprehensive. But it turned out much better than I expected. Nice ambience with little tea lights everywhere. Attentive and friendly service. The buffet wasn't huge but enough choice. The salads in particular are lovely and fresh. A couple of curries (not fabulous but tasty enough), really good cauliflower pakoras, a pasta dish (ok not Indian but I was told that still nice), cucumber yoghurt, chutney, papadums. There was a soup also which I didn't try. I don't usually like buffets, they seem to me messy and unhygienic but here all was clean, fresh and regularly topped up. We were celebrating my daughter's birthday and when the owner asked us if we enjoyed our dinner he insisted that her meal was on the house which was a nice gesture. The movie was also enjoyable. A little smelly in the cinema but not bad at all. It's quite comfy to be able to semi recline! It's a nice place for a vegetarian dinner and movie night.
