“Salty food”
2 of 5 bubbles Reviewed July 5, 2013 via mobile

Went for dinner there with 5 friends on a friday night. There was a nice ambiance and buzz in the restaurant. But the food was so salty and not close to good. So disapoiting! And overpriced too. I will never go there again and will never recommend it to anyone. However the customer service was very good but you go to a restaurant for the food.

“Great tapas and high end tequila”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed June 9, 2013

4 of us had dinner there last night and thought it was great. We order about a dozen different tapas and they were honestly fabulous. We were quite surprised based on a number of ho-hum reviews.

The other 3 tried various tequilas that they said were amazing but I stuck to my wine.

I would have given it 5 stars had they not had a really loud Spanish band. It was hard to maintain a conversation over them. They were ok, just too loud. We actually moved to the bar to have our tequilas so that we were further away.

We will definitely be back.

“Great Vibe , great food”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed April 26, 2013

Friday night buzz in the restaurant , live music, busy bar, tables full and it all worked. 5 of us for dinner, chose quite a number of dishes to share , serving sizes were good. Food was very tasty , steak and lamb tapas dishes were the standouts. Service was excellent and the prices were fine for food of this quality and size. Excellent night.

“Over priced”
3 of 5 bubbles Reviewed April 23, 2013

We went on the weekend and so there was live music and a nice buzzing atmosphere, however the dishes are way overpriced for what they are. Will try a different Spanish restaurant next time.

“Yummy tapas - a touch of Spain in Sydney”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed April 22, 2013

Situated in an undesirable location in Sydney's Surry Hills, this restaurant is hiding some very great tasting food. The restaurant looks very average from the outside, but the ambience, and food, make you forget where you are. We tried the $56 per head banquet for a group of 5 of us which was more than enough - includes antipasto vegies, salad, potatoes, prawns, eye fillet (so tender and cooked to perfection!) and chilli mussels and more! The lychee sangria is a must and very refreshing. The live band on the Friday was great, although loud, but comfortable. There are other banquets starting at a lower price and all the way up to $70. The only negative I would say is that we were seated in a far corner on the Elizabeth st side and there was a spotlight right above my head which made me feel like I was under an interrogation light. Plus it was more a table for 4 as 5 and set up a bit awkward, perhaps the hostess/host needs to not squash larger groups in so much. We also got booted out at 12, with another 3 tables so this perhaps needs to be revisited... we would like to have stayed on and there's nowhere to go in this part of Elizabeth st!
