“Shame”
1 of 5 bubbles Reviewed June 3, 2012

Nothing about the famous czech cuisine! Yep, it is very friendly place, but absolutely uneatable food like fast-food style with terrible quality of it. Fish was not fresh, even kinda spoiled! No czech atmosphere at all as well. Don't want to write more.

“well priced, good sized serves, pretty bland in taste.”
3 of 5 bubbles Reviewed December 17, 2011

As I said in the title, good size serves, good pricing, good in general, it's stodge food. Lacking taste, but fills you up. Go there if nothing else is open.

“Great hearty food”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed September 30, 2011

Enormous portions but the food itself is usually very good and well-priced (better on both counts than the similar Austrian Una's nearby). Schnitzel, goulash, duck (half a roast duck) are the standards, accompanied by potatoes, dumplings and cabbage, but they also have such things as creamy strawberry dumplings (apparently Czechs eat it as a main) and specials like pork belly and fish. Well-priced Krusovice is on tap but they have a range of other beers and spirits. Staff are mostly eastern Euro backpackers whose performance is patchy but the management is good. Owing to the backstreet location, angry bums, angry junkies and drunken backpackers sometimes disturb the outdoor diners but it's always great for a feast.

“Great Czech Food and BEER”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed June 13, 2011

The food is good but it's propbably the beer for which you will visit. Such a large selection of Czech and other European beers I have never seen in Australia. They even have Budvar on tap! Don't miss it.

Delicious Czech food and beautiful outdoor dining atmosphere on a sunny day. The Beef Ghoulash is absolutely mouth-watering!!!
