Their mixed platter of kebabs did not disappoint me. Their fresh lemon juice seems to be popular, and it tasted so good.. It will cost you 2.5 dollar for a small glass but will get you a jug for 8 dollar.

We decided to eat dinner here on a whim and were not disappointed. A mixed plate, small hummus, and small chicken skewer was more than enough for two people. Very well priced and everything tasted great. If we lived in Sydney, I think it's safe to say that we'd be returning in the future.

We dined with friends on a Saturday night - reservations essential. The business has a long history, detailed in photos and texts relating many generations of family ownership. Parking is a challenge in Elizabeth Street, so we walked a few hundred metres. The restaurant was already busy at 7.30pm, so taking orders was a bit chaotic and the place very noisy due to several large parties going on. Dishes are about $10-$15 each. The food arrived promptly - we ordered to share and although portions are relatively small, there was way too much to eat. The bill for dinner wasn't cheap as a result. Vegetarians are catered for well, which is sometimes rare in restaurants in Sydney, even in 2013! A bonus during the evening was the appearance of a belly-dancer who was very entertaining. But be aware, no-one is immune from being chosen by the lady to dance a short segment. For me, it was a bit of fun. Food standard is high and there's plenty of variety. We each took some home in takeaway tubs. Some smokers left the front door open, which was a pity; we had to get up and shut the sliding door to prevent the smell coming in. Not the sort of thing a waiter would be expected to do in the busy-ness of the evening. Definitely recommended. Just go easy on the ordering.
