Like other reviewers the two distinguishing characteristics of Santorini are the fabulous BBQ and the enormous servings.

Three grown men struggled to finish a mixed seafood and meat platter for two!

The seafood consisted of large king prawns, cuttlefish, octopus and white fish. The meat was lamb chops, pork, and steak.

We sampled a Greek wine that was unfamiliar to us on the waiters recommendation. It was drinkable, but a little uninspiring.

Head here if you are hungry, and keen on a large meal at a reasonable price.

Thank John Q

Went for a stroll along Oxford St for dinner & stumbled into Santorini. Judging by the crowd on a Thursday night we thought we would give it a try. Our waiter was pleasant & prompt with service. We ordered the seafood platter for 2. When it arrived it was enormous with a wonderful selection of BBQ seafood. Recommend eating the scallops first as they become tough & difficult to remove from the shell as they cool. The fish was tender & moist, prawns enormous, octopus yummy, calamari hoods discovered on bottom of platter when I couldn't eat any more!! Shame. Overall authentic Greek BBQ. Yum

I think it really depends on what you order. The dish I chose was sold out. The lady next to me got the last one and I could hear her mmming and ahhing about it! But mine was pretty ordinary egg noodles with seafood. The two big prawns and the three mussels were yummy and the octopus pretty good but the sauce was pathetic, tasted like watered down tomatoe sauce out of a bottle and the egg noodles were very badly cooked. some of them were tough and chewy and others falling apart from overcooking. No wonder the waiter was trying to get me to have the Moussaka. Still my boyfriends dish was very yummy. I am sure if you order the house specials and typically greek food it would be fine. We started with a trio of dips...the usual eggplant, taramosalata and tatziki. These were exceptional. So if you want Greek give it a go but if you want really good greek head into the city to that place downstairs....if only I could remember what it was called....!

We went to the restaurant on an Ouffer voucher. Not sure if the rude, abrupt and unwelcoming treatment by the owner was due to dining on a voucher or if its like that always. We were not asked if we wanted more drinks or if the food was OK. We waited for the food to be BBQ'd and all we could hear was the owner/cook making disparaging remarks to his staff across the restaurant, even calling into question their mental abilities. He was rude and bullying to his staff in front of all dining clients. The food was not presented appealingly, rather all food placed on top of each other with rice and cabbage underneath. It was mostly made up of BBQ calamari. If this is the usual manner food is served and this is a reflection of the level of service you can expect, it is appalling!!! This could have been an opportunity for the owner/cook to showcase his restaurant to new clients, for return business. He has blown it, it was a terrible experience all round. Won't be back and would not recommend anyone go and waste their money on the experience. Go to Maccas instead, at least you get what you pay for!!

dining upstairs and downstairs so if you haven't booked, if downstairs looks full, don't be put off. The 2 of us ate on a very busy Saturday night and the service was prompt and food delivered in good time. Both seafood and meat dishes cooked just as expected from a traditional greek restaurant, was excellent value. Wine list by glass limited but still enough choice to satisfy. Trip advisor address in incorrect, Santorinis is at 227 Oxford St, only a few doors further along strip.
