We were a little put off by the high prices in the harbour restaurants. But came across this little place tucked away in the rocks. We got there early evening so got a balcony table with a bit of a view of the quay. Simple but tasty food. Would recommend the fresh spring rolls, green veg in oyster sauce, pad Thai. In fact everything we ordered was nice. The rest of the restaurant looked a different atmosphere much more busty than the calm of the balcony. There is one long table very sociable but probably not the place for a romantic date. Prices by Sydney's standards were good value

ST has a great location and the food is good. The service is sonewhat haphazard and when we ordered the food it all arrived within 2 minutes! No time to settle in and have a drink.
The communal table put diners in very close quarters and when it was full the sound was deafening. I'm sure the terrace tables that overlook the habour would have been preferable.

Great pad thai served on one long table for everyone. Quickly served and good value - for the Rocks anyway ! Not obvious signage so you could miss it.

We went to the Canteen (upstairs) which is a communal table but were lucky to be taken out to the balcony - only 4 tables, which was fabulous on a Sydney evening. Great food, speedy service, very tasty.

Everything was outstanding....food, service, value and location. Before you consider any other Asian cuisine in Sydney, start here. You will not be disappointed.
