Peasants' Feast is one of my favorite places to dine in Newtown. We have been going there every year on our visits to Australia for 15 years. It did change hands at some point, and the menus have changed (I pine for the blue cheese souffle they used to have!), but it's still awesome. The ambiance is cozy, but not crowded. The menus always interesting, with fresh ingredients and considerate service. It is BYO, which helps with the expense of nice dining. Best to have a reservation on the weekend, but most times we just walk in and they are very accommodating. I look forward to our next visit!
