This is a great location, with unique views of Sydney.
We've been several times, all have been good, but sometimes the service seems a little disorganized when you compare it to the prices you are paying.
The food is good and it's upmarket compared to the glut of Italian pizza/pasta restaurants in Sydney. (although these still are great when required!) with some fantastic traditional Italian dishes. The presentation of the food is also good.
Mezzaluna often has Sunday lunch and early evening specials, it is worth following them on Facebook if you are a local.

This place affords some of the best city landscapes views I have seen in Sydney. The space is ample and airy, with a beautiful terrace where you can eat al fresco. The owner and staff are friendly. However, the food is not up to scratch, and there is definitely a gap between quality and price, I liked the menu's contents, but I found the actual dishes did not deliver what they set out to achieve.

I ate here last night with a group of 9 friends and it was very disappointing. It could be wonderful - it's a beautiful big restaurant and the city view is spectacular. Perhaps it was once great, but it is no longer so. The food was okay, but I've eaten alot of Italian and this was certainly nothing special. For instance, my dinner at La Disfida last weekend was infinitely better, let alone high end places like Otto. About 5 of us ordered the gnocchi for our main and were told that there was none left well after having ordered . We were offered pretty ordinary packet pasta as a substitute, which is really no substitute for hand-made gnocchi. Since we had a booking and the restaurant wasn't very busy, I don't see why they should have run out of gnocchi, The service was incredibly slow and disorganised. We waited for ages for someone to take our order. When we told the wine waiter that we were ready to order, he told us we would have to wait for the other waiter to take our order (who was in the process of making crepe susette at another table). This happened repeatedly. I find it phenomenal that they could say that only one person in the restaurant was able to take our order. The result: we got our entrees at about 10pm, when we had an 8:30pm booking. Two of the main courses also came out after we had all finished eating becuase they had burned the first one. The wine waiter kept on refilling glasses without even asking whether people were drinking, wasting wine. It was certainly overpriced for the quality. The restaurant was less than half full on a Saturday night so something is going terribly wrong.

We decided to try this restaurant as recommended by one of the staff at hotel we were staying at. Ambiance was lovely, view was awesome. We noticed that there was a movie screen on one wall & were asked if we wanted to watch the movie or were we ok sitting behind a huge planter. As we were there for dinner & didn't realize that they showed old Italian movies at least one day a week, we chose behind the planter. We ordered our wine & meal, service was slow. Once the movie started (it had sub-titles), the lights were dimmed (the poor waiter who was fixing a table side dish at one of the other tables was having trouble seeing what he was doing, it was so dark in there). All the other customers were glued to the movie as were the waiters & manager. Once we were served our meal, we were totally ignored, after about a 10 min wait for our bill, we got up & walked up the stairs to the cashier desk & finally the manager followed us up so we could pay. The food was disappointing, my pasta was not cooked quite enough, not sure about my husbands. I'm sure if it was not 'movie' night the service might have been better & possibly the food also as all the staff seemed to be watching the movie, not sure if this included the chef or not. Very disappointed and it was an expensive place to eat. Sorry, not a place that we would recommend.
