Very conveniently located to Circular Quay. We walked in and were immediately seated. We ordered many dishes and enjoyed all of them. Not a place if you want to celebrate a special occasion.

Pretty average I must say. Nevertheless, nice place to spend some time! Far from being an authentic Indian restaurant.

I ate in this restaurant in my holyday in Australia and i am sure that it's the best indian cuisine that i ever eat in australia.
I suggest you the lamb and the chicken byriani. Ah.... Dont forget the King Fisher!!!!

We went for dinner on a sunday evening. The place was packed, thanks to it's location. It took them 10 minutes to take our order after we were seated - the reason being that there is only person who acts as the manager, cashier, takes orders, seats people... There is another girl to help him - But the restaurant is understaffed - there are about 12-15 tables (with about 40-50 patrons on sunday evening) but only 2 people managing the whole show.
The locations is great & it seems to the be the only Indian restaurant in the vicinity - something that they can cash on - however, everything is below par - the food, the service, the attitude, the decor, the ambience... And, to top it all, the owner/manager is extremely rude.
We had ordered Tandoori prawns as a starter. What we got were boiled prawns. Our main food did not appear before 45-50 minutes. When we were repeatedly following the order, the owner told us that this is the way it is on his restaurant & he should have told us that it would take 90 minutes to get the food. I failed to understand why it would take 90 minutes to get food that is sub-standard & does not even deliver on basic taste. Also, our complete order was no delivered. We had to wait for an additional 5-10 minutes to get some kulchas - by the time the rest of the food had started cooling down.
Food was late, but so was water. We had to ask for water 3 times & then after some 25-30 minutes were offered water.
Every time we made a request to the owner/manager for water or to check on our food, he was extremely rude & initially brash about the whole thing. After a food was served, we asked to speak to him 2-3 times - but he just kept avoiding us. In the meanwhile, I guess he had realized that the service really sucked, he was making attempts to humor other patrons but trying his best to ignore us.
I would give this restaurant a negative rating if possible - a basic service like a glass of water is not available easily in this restaurant. This restaurant is not fit to be in the hospitality business

Located just behind Circular Quay under an apartment block, this is a great place for lovers of excellent Indian food.
Although a bit basic in decor with paint peeing off the walls and not very comfortable chairs, the food was fantastic and the service was very freindly and prompt.
The place also filled up quickly with a great number of Indians which is always a sign of approval of the authenticity of the food as well as the quality.
