Beautiful food and overall service is brilliant. One snooty waiter made a distinct impression but others were lovely. Melt in your mouth gnocchi, delicious entrees and divine deserts

I was recently treated to a dinner at Beppi's for my birthday. We arrived very early for our booking and this was no problem, our table was ready and waiting with a birthday card containing a lovely message and signed by Beppi himself.
Our waiter was attentive, knowledgable and charming. You don't usually find this level of service in Sydney restaurants.
The food was also of an extraordinary quality and so tasty. To start we had the seafood antipasto, gorgeous local seafood, and the figs, prosciutto and gorgonzola, a perfect balance. Our mains of home made tagliatelle with Balmain Bugs - yum!- spatchcock with rosemary - also yum.
Tiramisu with a candle appeared next and what a tiramisu it was! Creamy perfection. We were then given a taste of Mr Beppi's own Limoncello - divine. As a parting gift a beautifully presented bottle of Beppi's handmade perfume. All in all a wonderful evening.
It is a bit expensive for every day but for a special occasion it's perfect.

Been around forever, so the waiter banter is relaxed and honed to perfection, and the food is top notch, simple, Italian. Not as posh as its neighbour, Buon Ricordo, and all the better for it. Simple mussels and clams with garlic and wine to start, then grilled whole sole. Side dish of spinach was the only disappointment - tasted like it had been cooked earlier. Nice wine list - light Valpolicella for $65 - the bottom end of the list.....as remarked elsewhere, its not a cheap night out. But we would go again for sure.

An old italian restaurant with the charm of bygone years. We ate in the cellar area rather than the open tabled area. The cellar has limited space but has the old feel with racks of bottles with dust covering them. Not Sure if real dust or fake dust. A good selection of antipasta, pasta and mains. The standard Prosecco was pretty good sparkling wine and went with the meal well. Staff are very attentive and there seems to be a lot of them. Some of our party had starter plus manin and some main plus desert. Food and drink service was good with the right amount of time between courses. Prices are highish but not excessive for the quality. A very relaxing feel that all is under control.

The first thing that struck me about this place was that it has a weird odour of damp or mildew. No idea what it is, but not pleasant. Prices are high, especially the wine list. Food was decent but no better than restaurants nearby on Stanley St. At the prices they charge, they really need to pull their finger out and start paying more attention to the food. Service was attentive, but I really didn't like being 'reminded' to leave a tip at the end (which I was planning to do in cash). In front of business colleagues this was particularly uncalled for. Won't return, there are so many better places in Sydney.
