A very basic hotel. It was clean, the staff were friendly. It is in a great location. However, the hotel doesnt supply car parks. You have to pay $50 a day at the hotel across the road for a car space. Its quiet and safe. No pool or gym.

Room Tip: Check the room before checking in, as I think some rooms are very small.

Stayed 3 nights here and it was the cheapest accom we could find other than hostel. Having said that, it was more impressive than a hostel. Freshly painted, modern furnishings and a mini fridge, tv and air con in our large room.
The only fault I could state was the bed was a little uncomfortable. However, given that this was the cheapest accom in Sydney that weekend, then I can't complain! Very good value hotel.
Offers a continental breakfast on-site, or a cooked breakfast at a cafe on the corner.
$10 cab to darling harbour.
Would stay there again for the value.

Nice enough for a night or two stay in town, not a lot more than a hostel and no minimum stay of 2 nights or more like some of the hostels around new years.

We had a fridge and tea and coffee making facilities in the room and a big tv.

The room itself was spacious and comfortable and the bathroom clean and bright.

Good location, near to China town and lots of shops and cafes.

Negative :Staff weren't overly friendly and the AC was too cold and wet couldn't change the settings so we didn't actually sleep very well. Told the staff in the morning and received no apologies...

We stayed here for 4 nights in December 2012. We were in room 101, quite small, but quiet, clean and we had the comfort we needed to rest after wandering in the city the whole day. In the hallway there was a noisy installation and we were happy not to have a room right in front of that machine - it sounded like the engine of a huge fridge. The hotel is close to the station and several convenience shop, the neighborhood is quite deserted at night, but we did not feel unsafe. Hotel staff is friendly and helpful.

Chose Leisure Inn because it was attractive price and close to Central Rail Station. Driven down from Brisbane and wanted to drop off bags before returning hire car to local Hertz. Staff very helpful in putting aside large suitcases for our return to hotel after 9pm when reception would be closed. Arrived back before 9pm and bags were in room, many thanks. I have read that the Hotel has been renovated and on the first impressions the room was clean and modern. Men and women have different standards when it comes to what is passable and what is not in hotel rooms. I am not too bothered if the curtains are hanging off a bit or there is a crack in the window or even a bit of mould on the frame but my partner was. No milk for a drink well thats common ground for moan and the reception is shut and your up before 7am to catch the train. Washed my hands in the nice bathroom and the towel looked as if it had been used for clearing up a dose of diarrhoea and even after it had been laundered large light brown handprint stains could be seen. The worst part of the stay was the air-conditioning which meant for an unpleasant sleep. We tried to adjust the temperature but it seemed stuck on low and the bed was under the vent so wind chill was max.

During our stay in Australia and visiting various hotels and lodges what stood out most of all was the standard of the staff on reception. The were often young and very good. When we checked out from the Leisure Inn all we asked for from the receptionist was to listen to the issues that we thought spoilt our stay. We do so not for a reduction in the bill but to highlight issues that often can be easily rectified so that the next customer who stays will have a pleasant experience. The lady on reception was not receptive to the points raised and took every opportunity to pass the blame back onto ourselves. Not what you want to hear when you have had a poor sleep and a long journey ahead. The question of "Were we in a courtesy room" did not go down too well as that what it seemed to be to us.

No real drama at Leisure Inn just could be so much better at no real cost to the management.

Stayed here for two nights and for 90 AUD the hotel room is very clean, so I was happy. However, there was no free wifi at all and you would have to pay to use.

There are a lot of rules upon check in - if there are any issues with your access card after 9pm, they will charge a certain amount (70 AUD?) to have it reactivated. Check out is very early at 10am, and they charge your 2 dollars per luggage for storage. Didn't think this was very convenient if you have a later flight to catch upon check out. They probably have only one staff at the reception so if anything is wrong with your room, you would have to wait until they are free to come up.

The hotel is located near George Street and Central Station, so it's pretty convenient, but can be pretty dark to walk at night if you are travelling solo.

Would probably stay there again but if there is another hotel with the same price and offers free wifi, i would choose others. Wifi is pretty essential for me to go online to find out more on places to go etc and to also keep in touch with people.
