Clean and tidy. Staff were nice. Room was quite small and the taps in the shower falling off the wall. Elevator is not in good working condition. Okay hotel but wouldn't stay again. Get what you pay for.

We stayed here because, well, frankly, we had limited other choices. Sydney was pretty much booked out the weekend we were here.

After reading some of the reviews on here, I had a moment of regret, but on arrival, we were pleasantly surprised (thank goodness).

We stayed in a suite on level 3 for three persons, which included 1 x QS bed and 1 x Single and found it very comfortable, neat and tidy. The room (and hotel in general) is older, but is very well located close to the action of Kings Cross (if that's your thing) but not so much in the thick of it you can't sleep for the noise.

The hotel has limited facilities (reception is manned some of the time, no restaurant/bar, pool etc) but you're close to lots of options nearby.

Kings Cross station is a 2 minute walk away and there's plenty of cafes within the same 2 minute walking radius that do a mean $6 budget cooked brekkie, or if you're keen to try something a bit special, there are some uber cool little hipster joints down the laneway across the road. If you're there on a Saturday, it's also just a short walk down to the weekly organic markets which are worth a look at with beautiful flowers, local produce/smallgoods and some stellar food stalls.

All in all, we agreed we would be very happy to stay here again - in fact, we think we would prefer to stay here for the local *ahem* "unique" atmosphere, compared to some of the more central CBD hotels we've stayed at.

Room tip: We got a suite on the 3rd floor which was great.

simple and cosy room, bathroom was big, free-wifi was good. it's conveniently near to King Cross Station. no breakfast or in-house cafe, however, there are plenty of food outlets around. Potts Point is a red-light district, but it's definitely safe and the hotel location is not on the main street/area of such activities, hence, it was quiet and not much action. overall, value for money, cosy room, great location

We stayed here for 7 days from 8th till 14th of sept. The room was beyond our expectation. It was clean and the bed was really comfortable. We weren't expecting any housekeeping but we always came back to a clean and tidy room (even our clothes on the bed were folded!). Halal food was nearby. Easy check in and everyone were so friendly. The wifi was excellent

Love staying at Lido as we always have our own cooking facilities but there are so many cheap eating places nearby we always end up at one of them anyway. Free internet and very friendly staff. Location is right in the centre of Kings Cross with a supermarket closeby as well. The elevator is a big wonky but works ok. Rooms are always clean and comfortable.
