“Loads of animals to see!”
Reviewed December 20, 2013

The variety of unique animals on show truly made this a worthwhile visit. Great service and interaction from friendly staff was the cherry on the top. Nicely laid out walk ways and spacious enclosures made me feel less guilty than I normally would about visiting zoos. Definitely a must-see Sydney tourist spot.

“Pretty good day out”
Reviewed December 17, 2013

I had a great time visiting this little gem in Sydney. The location is convenient- right next door to Sydney Aquarium and situated within the bustling city. There's a wide selection of animals on display, including native reptiles, marsupials, etc. The staff were friendly and helpful, especially those giving demonstrations. I watched a demo regarding native fauna that including kangaroos and snakes. These demos are very hands-on which is entertaining and informative. Photos opportunities are also available, especially with the koalas. I believe there is a small fee for this, which is pretty reasonable. This would be a great day out for families. It's a little small, but given its location, this would seem reasonable. The only negative for me was the butterfly room. I was lucky to see a couple flying past, but that was all. It would be lovely if they had more butterflies flying around.

“Bit disappointing.. but worth a visit when you buy the combo passes”
Reviewed December 15, 2013

I bought the 5 attractions combo ticket for $63 and I went to the Sydney Aquarium first and the next is this.. so the excitement of this place dropped a lot. Have my 7 years old little sister and she got excited at first at the butterfly farm and then 30 minutes later she got bored, only get to see the animals behind the glass. Finished seeing all of them in less than one hour half. The sad thing is, you need to pay $15 to cuddle up with koala.

But still, worth a visit when you bought them as combo or you don't have time to go to other place to see native Australian animals. The staff there is friendly. A bit too expensive to think of for walk-in price.

“Great selection of Australian Wildlife”
Reviewed December 14, 2013

This place is great! I saw a great selection of Australian wildlife especially Rex the Largest Crocodile in the world and a number of venomous snakes, lizards etc.. You can get up close with Koalas and Kangaroos and capture some great photos! Great Zoo to experience with the whole family tours and locals. There is facilities to accommodation parents with prams and is wheelchair friendly. The price is $38 in person or $26 online. There are also packages that include other attractions at cheaper rates

“Good rainy day activity”
Reviewed December 13, 2013

This is an indoor zoo located right on Darling Harbour. It was raining when we went in, so perfect time to do something indoors. It was a bit expensive but there are some online discounts that you can use if you can book in advance at all. This was an ok experience, I would have rated this higher until we went to the Australia Zoo in Brisbane, which completely blows this out of the water. But if you won't have the chance to visit a bigger and better zoo on your trip, this is an ok choice.

There are a good amount of educational talks they do, which was nice, try to time your trip to catch these.
