“Wonderful”
Reviewed April 13, 2013

This is the smaller out of the two zoos but I found it to be a great place to see all the wildlife and I loved seeing the little koalas. On the day my Girlfriend and I went they had a presenter from the BBC there and he had a talk that visitors could choose to see, I thought that was nice. They also have an outdoor seating area in which you can sit and relax or have a bite to eat. I had a hot dog and it was delicious. All in all a great day and their were lots of wonderful animals to see. Highly recommend.

“A quick version of what you could learn about Australian wildlife”
Reviewed April 10, 2013

If you only had an hour to learn about Australian wild life, then go to this attraction. While it hits all major themes, I think it didn't fully serve the purpose for visitors to learn and appreciate everything what made Australian wild life unique. At least I could visit koalas.

“Sydney Wildlife vs. Taronga Zoo”
Reviewed April 9, 2013

First, there are two zoos in Sydney and many of the reviews here are mixing them up. The large zoo on the side of the hill across the harbour from downtown is called the Taronga Zoo and takes a full day to see. It has animals both from Australia and from around the world. Sydney Wildlife is a smaller zoo (almost a museum, really) located in Darling Harbour and contains only the animals from Australia. So if you are short on time and want to see just the Australian animals, Sydney Wildlife will do the trick. We went first thing in the morning and saw wombats and Tazzy devils moving about - it was great! Be warned that this (Sydney Wildlife) is more of a showcase than a true zoo. If you're looking for the full-day experience, head across the harbour to Taronga. We were happy with our visit as a fast way to see all the Australian animals in one compact area.
