Owner description: Circular Quay is a colorful port where ferries and cruise ships board and depart, and boat watching can be as good a pastime as people watching. While street performers entertain outside, those wanting a more cultural experience can head into the Museum of Contemporary Art where a sculpture garden on the roof is as much a view as the waterways below.

“A hive of activity”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed February 13, 2014

Ferries coming in and going out non stop, performers of all kinds entertaining and amazing you,two of the local Aboriginal tribe on either end doing their traditional dances and encouraging people to join in and have their photos taken with tribal elders. Very friendly and educational as they explain the meaning of their performances and history of their people from the area. Places to sit and watch the non stop movement of life in all shapes and forms passing by. Food outlets are very reasonable, take away or sit and chew.

“Awesome atmosphere”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed February 12, 2014

I just love Circular Quay. Vibrant, colourful, bright, delightful, fun and fast and stunning views of the harbour and surrounds. Grab a cup of tea and just soak up the atmosphere, the people and the delights of Circular Quay. Easy access to the trains, harbour ferries and buses. A must visit in Sydney! Often cruiseships are in the harbour as well. Did see an unusual sight though - a man washing his clothes in the harbour!

“Heart of Sydney”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed February 10, 2014

What's so unique about a busy harbour with a ferry station? Well, to start with, the thing peeping behind the gigantic ocean liner is the Sydney Opera... But what is more, this really feels like the heart of Sydney. Find a bench, sit back and soak it up. People, boats, seagulls, the guy playing the guitar, the sun, the blue sky... Look left, and there's the Harbour Bridge, finding yet another way to show up unexpectedly and luring you further on to the Rocks area. Happy days!

“Fab, this harbour must have some of the best views in the world!”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed February 9, 2014

I loved Circular Quay - catching the ferry daily from Darling harbour round to here to see the Harbour Bridge and the Opera House was one of my many highlights while in Sydney. Plus there are some great restaurants as well as some Aboriginals playing the digeridoo as you get off the ferries!
