Owner description: Circular Quay is a colorful port where ferries and cruise ships board and depart, and boat watching can be as good a pastime as people watching. While street performers entertain outside, those wanting a more cultural experience can head into the Museum of Contemporary Art where a sculpture garden on the roof is as much a view as the waterways below.

Plent to do and see around circular quay. Lots of bars cafés restaurants to suit all needs. Fantastic area to people watch and relax over nice meal coffee or bottle of wine.
Lots of street entertainment to amuse you. Great spot to get plenty of great pics of harbour bridge and opera house. Take a water taxi onto the harbour for fantastic views
Highly recommend a visit

This is must for visitors if you are in Sydney during NYE. City arrangements, weather, crowd, fireworks, transportation and after firworks rally on Sydney streets were just amazing...The crowd is huge so getting early to Circular Quay to find right spot from where one can see firworks of Harbour Bridge and Opera House both is essential. Take water and cards or some other activities to keep you busy. The view is so amazing that the time just fly even though we got there at 2 PM. Worth it for family, couples, single, seniors or even a large group; everyone can find items of their interest from clubs, park, stroll at the beach, amazing views, food/drink etc. I really appreciate the sun, mother nature and Sydney in general after this experience.

Circular Quay is a great spot to watch the world go by, tourists running around for the ferries and off to the Opera House etc, workers off to their jobs and street performers everywhere. The trains are right outside and it is a great place to start exploring Sydney Harbour and it,s attractions. Also a good place to get tickets to all the local attractions.

This is a must do. We headed here in the afternoon and watched the sun set followed by drinks at the Opera House. This is a beautiful sight to see.

Circular quay is like a hub for transport for the ferries, the area is full of energy with street performers, aboriginal music, fast food joints, cafes, waterfront places to sit and lounge, train station and also bus station hub surrounded by tall buildings on one side. A must-see!
