Owner description: Circular Quay is a colorful port where ferries and cruise ships board and depart, and boat watching can be as good a pastime as people watching. While street performers entertain outside, those wanting a more cultural experience can head into the Museum of Contemporary Art where a sculpture garden on the roof is as much a view as the waterways below.

Nicely connected to ferry, trains and bus. Was quite organised being one of the main gateways. It is also on the way to opera house and botanical gardens. I went on a Sunday morning and hence, it was less crowded. It was the 1st day of my trip and surely, it gave me all the travel options. The various ferries, tour operators and the brochures that I found here helped me to plan my Sydney trip..suggest everyone must start their trip from here.

It's always busy and always interesting too. Sit down at one of the many cafes that front the Quay and just watch the passing parade.....enjoyable. Always some quirky talented busker entertaining the crowds. Considering the volume of people it's clean and plenty of seating for basking in the sun and watching.

Circular Quay is never quiet! The ferries criss cross the waters starting and ending here, gigantic passenger cruise liners dock alongside the Overseas Passenger Terminal (OPT) and there is usually some street entertainment on offer.
The famous Opera House and Harbour Bridge are key attractions. Snack shops & cafes cater for tourists, although the ferry services are very much a part of commuter life as well.
For a stunning view, the top floor of the OPT gives you a panoramic photo opportunity.

You have to come here anyways if you are taking the ferry to anywhere within the harbour. But one of the best attraction here is to take the monorail and go in a circle around the city.

Another place that is great to walk around and see people bustling around. catching ferry's, heading towards the Opera House or Botanical Gardens. You can catch a Ferry from here to some great places, such as Manly, Parramatta, Milsons Point
