Mainly a peaceful place, except when parliament is in session. An excellent location for conference functions, dinners, etc with a peaceful outloook east across the domain. Located in one of Australia's most historic streets, with good ajacent offerings, such as the State Library, Art Gallery of NSW, the Mint and the colonial barracks.

“Best free attraction in Sydney”
Reviewed January 31, 2013

We visited outside Parliament sitting days, so it easier to wander around more than just the foyer. It's great for children to organise a visit and see where the lower house and upper house sit. Lots of history. This month was a foyer exhibition of the 225th anniversary of NSW.

Spacious and cool- a lovely place to visit. I was there for a presentation, and the food was great too.

my wife and i enjoyed our visit, we liked the building and the art work , we were given a very special tour of the upper chamber by a lovely lady called Lucy, we attended both chambers to watch them debate, and found it very interesting

“Excellent”

This is a must visit if you are like me and love politics. This was my second visit and i just loved seeing it again. You can take photographs if the House is not sitting. Amazing building, excellent staff and a beautiful Christmas tree.
