Gorgeous park with spectacular scenery. Definitely recommend a visit here as it is a great area to explore. We had a team building event here followed by a bbq lunch. Perfect setting.

You are now exploring the northern most outskirts of Sydney. Sparkling waterways and golden beaches are set against a backdrop of the national park ,are your rewards.
Picnic, swim ,bushwalk , boat and windsail to your heart's content.
You are 30 km from the city and your first stop is Bilgoa Beach, boasting a small community with abackdrop of rainforest and valleys. Wooden steps lead down to this secluded beach. Absolute beauty.
Driving further, you arrive at spectacular Whale Beach where houses literally hang off the cliffs overlooking this fine surfing beach . Its less congested than those closer to the city.. There is a superb eatery called Jonah's at the peak of the high hill, one of Sydneys finest . Soon the beauty of Pittwater will reveal itself with a graceful finger of water seperating Palm Beach and Ku-ring-gai Chase.
Finally you arrive At Palm Beach.a haven for for sea birds, pelicans and sun seekers. walk up the istmus to Barrenjoey Head and the lighthouse which affords dramatic photo opportunities along the entire coast line. There are fantastic eateries to satisfy discriminating diners, as well as,those that hunger for the best'fish & chips' anywhere.

Ku-Ring-Gai Chase National Park is one of the most beautiful places in Sydney for a day trip, drive, picnic or Bar-B-Q, West Head lookout has the most amazing views of the Central Coast and of Palm Beach and the Northern Beaches. Bobbin Head is a great place for a picnic or barbeque. There are barbeques located with in the park for the public to use, There also a couple of cafes and boat hire. You can go bushwalking, boating or fishing within the park. There are play areas for the children to play. Entry is $11 per car for the day and I believe there are pensioner discounts available. So get out and enjoy nature.

There is so much to do and see in this beautiful green space so close to the CBD. Take a picnic and find a lofty spot to look down on the sparkling Pittwater.

If you want to go on exploring walking tracks, canoeing, breathtaking lookout points, fishing or just want to picnic and BBQ with your family..... Ku-ring-gai chase is the place to go. My husband and I had gone by car so we had to pay $ 11 entry fee. The park is open from 6:00am to 6:00 pm.
It is so vast with so many amazing views that it is not possible to cover it all in just one day. My fav is West head lookout point. It is located in the north eastern part of the park. The view of the Pacific ocean is just breath taking. It's a perfect romantic getaway.

Bobbin head is a great place for picnic and BBQ. It has a Marina too. There are many walking trails too. However, the food in the restaurant is not good so I suggest you carry your own food.

There is a great walking track called Sphinx Track. The highlight of this track is the Sandstone miniature of Egyptian sphinx made by a Serviceman. It is a memorial commemorating the fallen A.I.F soldiers during 1st world war.

There is so much left to explore so I will be going there again.
