There are a lot of places to look for info about tours, & they may all be roughly the same thing when you come right down to it...but if you want that extra little taste of information, knowledge & a very personal touch, ask for tour guide David Mac Donald and/or Lindsey to take your tour.

During a two-week trip to Sydney in late 2006, our family group booked a 4WD tour to the Blue Mountains. Our timing was a little off as we were unlucky enough to go on the tour during the 2-3 weeks of bush fires in/around the Blue Mountains, so some of the things normal to the tour were off limits for safety.

However, David & Lindsey were perfect tour guides. Full of the banter you'd expect from tour guides, they also understood that the bush fires may've kept us from visiting some of the mountain areas but they were also determined to make up for that unfortunate problem by being genuinely nice guys & virtual libraries of information.

We started out with Lindsey first in a van fully booked. Rather than take the van with a full crowd of people, Lindsey & David worked it out so our family group could go off in a separate van where there was a lot more more room for everyone.

David was a consumate gentleman all the way. Our two-year-old grandson took a liking to David immediately & decided that while we were touring, David should hold his hand as his own personal tour guide. While most tour guides might have decided that the added inconvenience of holding onto a two-year-old was not a good idea while performing routine guide duties, David accepted the role graciously & our grandson felt like someone of great importance - after all, he had his "own" tour guide.

We understood David didn't have to do this but his kindness made the entire trip much more intimate, personal & enjoyable than it would be with other tour companies.

If you want that kind of personal touch to make your trip more memorable, ask for David Mac Donald when you book!
