This is a great scenic walk. If you have not done it before it is best to start at the Coogee end. Don't think the walk has finished when the path ends. Look ahead and you will see a gap between two houses and that is the way to go. This is a really nice walk for tourists.

Being a former Coogee resident I often walked the Coogee/Lurline Bay Walk all the way to Bondi Beach and back. With the newly completed wooden walkway replacing the narrow cemented pathway, the walk has become much more pleasurable and gives your the chance to view the best of Sydney's coastline. There are numerous cafes doted along the way at Clovelly and Bronte should you wish to make it a social occasion, as well as a healthy walk:-) I would recommend the walk to any visitor to Sydney, especially should it be a fine sunny day.

We usually treat this walk as an extension to the Bondi to Coogee coastal walk and continue southwards to Maroubra. There is an interesting wetland section, crossed by boardwalk, just south of Coogee and great sea views for most of the way. Well placed seats invite the walker to stop and take in the view. It is unfortunate that the route has to follow suburban streets for a short time due to coastal development. That part isn't very well signed so it's best to have consulted a map beforehand. It is also important to realise that Lurline Bay may not be passable at high tide, therefore, be prepared to take a detour. Lurline Bay is approached by a steep flight of steps between houses and is characterised by large, rocky platforms and a cliff undercut by tidal erosion. Be careful when crossing the rocks - wear trainers rather than flip-flops. It is certainly well worth a visit. From there, continue south to Maroubra Beach, where refreshment can be taken and bus stops can be easily located.

This is a regular walk of mine. It offers great views of Coogee beach and if you are lucky enough you might even see a whale out to see. A favourite of the locals is the Sculpture trail which happens on this walk in October most years...the walk passes some great beaches and restaurants. Enjoy!

If you are taking the Bondi to Coogee walk don't stop there but walk on. This is a really terrific walk that brings you much closer to the water. I have done this walk starting at Clovelly which makes the whole experience even better. Coogee is a lovely beach and the park area just beyond it is very pleasant indeed.
