We were taken from the Hotel Holiday Inn Darling Harbour to enjoy Sydney. On the way our bus stopped at Mrs Macquaries Point. The place was named in 1810 after Elizabeth, wife of Governor Macquarie. The Governor ordered a seat to be chiselled into the rock in a location from which she could view the harbour. Mrs Macquaries Chair, as it is known, is still there today. It is in the extension of the Botanic Gardens. After spending about an hour and taking photos we proceeded to Sydney Darling Harbour.
Darling Harbour is the harbour adjacent to the city centre of Sydney, New South Wales, Australia. The place is large recreational and pedestrian zone. The harbour is situated on western outskirts of the Sydney CBD (Central Business District). We saw similar attractive harbour in Canada.
