want a refuge after shopping or sightseeing then a stroll through the Hyde Park is for you. No where near as big as the London version it still is a very pleasant space. Cut in the middle by Park street spoils the amience a bit but worth detouring through if heading to Hyde Park Barracks or the Australian Museum.

I love walking around this park. So much to see. The fountain, lovely gardens. The War Memorial with the large pool of Remembrance. Lunch time crowds flock here along with the pigeon's to eat the sandwiches.

I was very impressed by this beautiful park in the heart of downtown Sydney. My hotel was right across the street. Trees were absolutely astonishing. And the collection of birds was amazing.

The pool of reflections is amazing as it has statues of myths and legends e.g. minotor. It brings some culture to the place and is educational as parents tell the stories behind the statues.

The senate bar fountain where most people just lie down, have their lunches, and chill.

Then there is Saint Mary's Cathedral. Which is utterly breathtaking. No photos allowed there everyone.

There is also the ANZAC memorial which is historically significant to Australia and is a must see.
For all others there are lots of bars and cafes scattered around the park.

Enjoy!
