Just so as people avoid making the long trek up to North Head, the artillery museum closed in 2010. The walk up to North Head is still excellent and there is a cafe where you can look out over the entrance to Sydney Harbour. There's also a couple of plaques showing the Japanese midget submarine attack in WW2. There are walks around the area, which explore the old artillery lookout points and you will see some water dragons on Noth Head.
