“My favourite walk in Sydney city centre”
Reviewed May 6, 2014

If you want to get a real sense of Sydney go for this walk around the botanical gardens towards the opera house it's breath taking. And great to see the opera house from different angles.

“A quieter aspect of Sydney”
Reviewed May 5, 2014

This is a well paved are and is easy to walk along. We were there in March and they were doing repairs and we were diverted through the gardens, not that his is an issue. It's a lovely walk around the waters edge and with the gardens being one side of the path and the water the other, there is a sense of not being in a big city.

“Peaceful”
Reviewed May 4, 2014

Doesn't feel like you are in the centre of one of the world's major cities. Amazing plants, sculptures, wildlife and so peaceful. Wasn't very busy either so you felt completely free to wander around and relax in this beautiful space.

“quiet oasis in a bustling city”
Reviewed May 2, 2014

The Botanic gardens are a great place to visit to get away from the hustle bustle of the city. Allow plenty of time and take it easy as you meander around the garden paths. If you are a plantsman you will enjoy the wide variety of flora on display. The views over the harbour are fantastic. On a hot day take plenty of liquid. There are a few cafes for refreshments. Arachnophobic? There are some pretty big spiders in the park which weave their webs in the trees and sit in the middle enjoying the reaction they get from unwary visitors. These boys are big (compared to our British house guys) but they are located in very specific locations. This is not a zoo, these are the locals.
