Touted as the world's most beautiful open air cinema, I certainly can't argue with that description. A remarkable location, with perfect views of Sydney's two iconic structures. We bought our tickets online, and joined the queue about 15 minutes before the gates opened - there were perhaps 50 people in front of us. We entered, put the provided nametags on our seats, and took a wander around the harbor, grabbing a quick dinner near the opera house (if we had been with friends, the open-air restaurants at the cinema looked inviting as well).

Gday All

It’s an Indulgence.

We know we can see a movie another 10 different ways but this is very special... it’s a night out .. it’s relaxed .... smart casual happy and peaceful.

Ok so there we are having arrived by train to Circular Quay and walked to the Opera House then along the foreshore of the Botanical Gardens around to the gated entry to the cinema.

All the seating is good... food and wine is better than carnival standard and you get to watch the dusk settle over the Harbour Bridge and Sydney City....

It could be any movie

The walk back is just as good

Highly highly tecommended

Cheers All

Went to a movie here feb 14th the setting is magical, at Pott’s point (I think) one bay round from the opera house, the screen is actually in the harbour with the opera house harbour bridge and city skyline in the background, it’s honestly magical ! The whole area is entrance by movie ticket only and there’s food and drinks available. The food was ok without being great and drinks were good but it’s the outdoor movie tour here to experience and that was fantastic is such a special location
The only thing that I found wasn’t great was the seats, while they were padded and comfortable I found them too upright and close to the next row to be comfortable for the entire movie, but then again not too different from any other theatre and the location more than made up for it

Recommend as something different and a really pleasant way to see a movie while still experiencing “being in Sydney”. Very well organized with so many people; great volume and seating views. Even had complimentary rain capes for the light drizzle. So nice to see Sydney in the background too. Would go again.

The venue is well organised to deal with the very large numbers attending although there was some negotiating with others to get a space to sit and eat the crowd were relaxed and welcoming. The vista across Sydney Harbour at dusk is wonderful. A truely spectacular setting and one not to be missed if in Sydney at the right time.
