The open air cinema is good but I think the moonlight cinema at centennial park is better. Much more relaxed, family atmosphere. There are many outdoor cinemas around to choose from and they are all pretty good, this one is OK but not the best in my opinion

All Open Air Cinemas are pretty much alike .However if the weather is good you won't find a better on than this.

This is the most beautiful cinema in the world and a "must do once in your life time".
The setting is almost unbelievable, as the screen is set opposite the Sydney Opera House. So you will be sitting looking at the screen as the sun comes down.

The selction of the movies is brilliant too and there is a good selection of food & drinks.

The only advise I have is to go as early as possible so you get a good seat as well as do not go if you are scared of spiders....

As with most of Sydney in Summer, the weather dictates all.
The setting is quintessentially Sydney - a more beautiful backdrop to such a great selection of movies you cannot ask for.
The food is great. The increased seating is much appreciated - and if there aren't any seats, then a blanket on the grass in the Botanical Gardens is arguably more comfortable!
The provision of ponchos in event of rain is great. A light sprinkling doesn't dampen the mood, but makes it more atmospheric, especially for selected movies. But any heavier than that, it really isn't worth $30.
I love this experience. I come every year. I love bringing along a friend from out of town to show off my stunning city.
However the crowds can sometimes make it a bit harrowing. All that queuing.... but i'm still coming!

Part of Sydney and if you're here at the right time it's well worth a visit. It's a special experience to see films in this environment.
