Previously we have enjoyed visits to the Centre. The program of exhibits is usually interesting.
Last Sunday we drove over and walked in to reception.

The guy behind the counter sat there glued to his desktop screen, So we asked what was on and what the exhibits were about.

His reply - 'There are three shows on - if you look at the labels they will tell you what it is about'......and this guy looked so bored - despite a few visitors wandering around.

I have seen more excitement from a flannel.....

This small but nicely appointed gallery is a short cab/bus ride from the CBD on notable Oxford St. The highlight photography exhibit was of American Presidents, as taken by David Burnett, from Kennedy to Obama (on show until Aug '13). A mix of candid, campaign and ceremonial shots, the richness of Burnett's images captured the many sides to a Head of State. Entry is free and the strip shopping of Oxford St allows for a journey on-foot to Bondi Junction shopping and, further, Bondi Beach (go east), or back towards the city via the city's famed Gay enclave at Taylor Square (go west).
One semi-related note: it's shocking to see Oxford St, once known for it's chic boutiques, now suffering from so many untenanted stores. Local Councillors have their work cut out for them to attract retailers and tenants back to this once-buzzing area. Witness the retail drawing power of the Westfield behemoth in Bondi...

Be sure to pop by to see what exhibitions are running. They also have a wide range of courses. For the photographers out there they have a complete B&W darkroom with nice gear.
Have a look at their site to see what courses and exhibitions are available.
