“Wonderful scenic coastal walk”
Reviewed October 27, 2012

As you come off the ferry, walk almost straight ahead, across a park, up the fill until you come to the coast footpath - the views of the cliffs are just stunning. turn right and walk along to the first lighthouse - really enjoyed that coastal walk on a bright, sunny day with blue sky. Saw lots of wild flowers and wild birds along the way. Walked back and had fish and chips lunch at Doyles restaurant before catching the ferry back to Sydney.

“Pleasant Place accessible by ferry”
Reviewed October 27, 2012

The bay is a pleasant place to take a ferry ride to. You can walk from there to a very calm, safe beach called Camp Cove and also to a nudist beach which seemed to me to be a gay paradise so I avoided it as I didn't want to be in a minority. Don't be lured into Doyle's. The food is not nearly as good as it's cracked up to be and is over priced.

Went here on recommendation of a Sydney ex-pat and it was completely worth the visit. Quiet, beautiful. Went for a stroll, saw The Gap and had Doyles Fish & Chips whils dangling our feet in the water watching a wedding in the gardens. Just idyllic.

“Favourite Place in Sydney”
Reviewed October 25, 2012

Sydney visitors, one&all - the ferry ride never disappoints, just be careful not to miss the last one returning to Circular Quay. When you arrive on the wharf, walk straight up the steep-ish hill in front of you and you will see the glorious cliffs at "the Gap." It's stunning. Often windy - hang onto your hats! But your photos will be special.
Watson's bay is an easily accessible, rewarding, free (well, not including the Sydney ferries ticket, but even that is reasonable) half-day trip for all newcomers to Sydney, whose real asset is it's abundant rivers&bays. Great views in all directions.
Just don't get the fish&chips at Doyles on the wharf - rubbish food/bad service.

“Peace and Quality”
Reviewed October 24, 2012

Take the standard ferry, it is a lovely journey via Rose Bay, with tremendous views along the route. Watson bay is a quiet spot, with beautiful parkland and excellent scenic views Sydney Bridge and some of the towers can be seen in the distance. There are a couple of places to eat and an hotel close to the quay. There is a small beach and pleasant walks on the promenade. Watson Baty is particularly beautiful in the late afternoon as it faces almost due west.
