Not your average beach! Loved it, really chilled out vibe in this little suburb & not as "touristy" as some areas are,

This is unlike any beach in Sydney - very unique. It's like a big swimming pool with a sandy beach at one end and the sparkling ocean at the other. It's really worth a visit.

This is a very small beach which has its own mini bay. Snorkeling area is very well protected, can be accessed anytime but it is very small we spent about 45/60 minutes and cover it all easily. When the weather allows it, you'd better check out the Gordon's bay which is just behind (either swim from clovelly or enter directly in the Gordon's bay (but it does not look like there is any sandy beach, only rocks).

Clovelly Beach. It is a large inlet with a small beach at the end of it. There is cement only on both sides of it to sit on. There are steps with railings to get you into the water. Once in the water, there are slippery rocks to commandeer. The flow of water is quite strong at high tide so you will battle a little to get off them into the deeper water where there is plenty of fish to look at. Getting out is a little difficult if not strong in body like me! Even so, I love it there especially on a really hot day. We go there early evening as we have daylight saving and it's very refreshing. The tide is coming in then. Many people go there with barbeques and chairs etc. There is a clubhouse right next to it. There is plenty of parking although you may have to wait. The parking is on top of a hill and you have a perfect view of the surrounds. It's not as crowded as Bondi Beach which I rarely go to for this reason and parking is a problem in mid-season

Petite area. Liked the walks around this beach very much. You can get north or south from here, and its not too far to go. There is also a great pub close by.
