The QVB is a gem! Surrounded by high-rise buildings, it sits graciously on its 115 year old foundations, a testimony to the craftsmanship of the builders, tilers, mosaicists and leadlight glass artists of the time. The building is beautiful, and has been restored faithfully over the years. The shops are equally easy on the eye, and several cafes provide a place to sit and enjoy the feel of the place. Thank goodness the city fathers had the foresight to let it stand. Well worth a visit, if only to see the Christmas decorations! A giant Swarovski-draped Christmas tree towers through all four floors.

A must ...you can spend a whole afternoon enjoying a coofee break or a meal, doing some shopping and admiring the beautiful building with gorgeous little boutiques on all of the 4 levels. The architecture itself is spectacular and you can feel the "empire" all around. There´s a lift taking you up to the varoius floors....amazing style. I found one of my hair salons there that used to be in Double Bay years ago...was thrilled...got an appointment for a haircut.

Be sure and visit as the interior is so different from the outside. The building is distinguished by its design and size. The interior is so different with its collection of boutiques and specialty stores. Be sure and appreciate the massive clock suspended from the ceiling. The overall space is beautiful and presentation of the stores very sophisticated.

When visiting Sydney take the time to wander all 4 floors to admire the beautiful architecture. At Christmas time there is a magnificent Christmas tree that rises up through the flora and is decorated with lights and Swarovski crystals. A beautiful sight.

Worth a visit if in the area, even just to go in for a look. There's a lot of high end expensive stores in the arcade.
