Read the TA reviews and headed to the cafe for supper. I ordered the T bone steak. They didn't ask how I wanted it cooked but I told them medium (turned out well). My husband ordered the eggs Benedict. There is a table inside the tiny cafe but we chose to sit out on the patio on the street. Darlington St is an interesting street. Strip clubs and street people so you need to be careful but it's also full of cute shops and restaurants plus kings cross train station. Our food arrived after about 10 minutes. My steak was juicy with a nice mushroom sauce on top. The fries were hot and
crispy and the lettuce/tomato/cucumber salad was fresh and carefully arranged on the plate. It all tasted great! My husband's plate came with 2 eggs Benedict in a creamy good hollandaise sauce. $9.50 for the steak and $9 for the eggs. A pitcher of cold water and we were set. Highly recommended! We came back the next morning for a latte. So creamy! Nailed it!
Located very close to Kings Cross train station. Check it out!
Stopped off for breakfast and the food and service was excellent. The breakfast of 2 eggs, bacon, baked beans and 2 slices of toast all for $6 was amazing. I actually left my handbag behind and the staff spotted it and kept it safe and untouched until I returned. Thanks again. I will be back next time.
Went here early in the morning for a breakfast that I seen here on Trip Advisor. The menu board stated $6 for 2 fried eggs, 2 Bacon rashers , Baked beans and 2 pieces of toast. When my order arrived I was surprised at the speed and well presented. The bacon was nice and crisp, eggs were sunny side up and there was a large bowl of soft butter. I also ordered a coffee which came nice and hot (the way I like it). The café also had a nice selection of cakes. The place was very neat and tidy, the staff were friendly even though there was a bit of a language barrier.
The cafe is located just 3-4minutes walk from the Kings Cross station, small, friendly cafe that sits in the midst of the vibrant district. We visited for supper to have coffee and cake, and I must admit that the Cookies & Cream Cake was beyond my expectations, just sweet and lovely! The staff was friendly and attentive to us; even genuinely expressed his interest about the gig I attended (I'm a huge Green Day fan). Price was decent and cafe was clean. Great pit stop for those with sweet tooth or just looking for a place to chat and have coffee. Highly recommended!
