For those who are staying in the area or just passing by CQ Cafe is very convenient, particularly if you are wanting a late breakfast. Unfortunately though I think the owners of this establishment take it's location for granted and neglect to pay too much attention to service.
We visited on New Years' Day, a busier than average day where we were informed that there was a slightly longer delay in receiving food, we appreciated that this information and proceeded to order food for a table of five.
We received our drinks slowly and finally, in stages, our meals arrived too, with the exception of one item. Although we notified the waiter he never returned to our table and we managed to finish our food without the final meal ever arriving.
The food was ok however our fruit smoothie was terrible, $9 and it tasted watered down and flavourless.
As one of the people at out table still hadn't eaten we wanted to leave and made our way to the counter to pay our bill and to pass on feedback to the Manager. After waiting approx. 10mins we finally spoke to him to pass on our comments however he didn't listen but rather took the items off the bill. Whilst we appreciated the removal of the two items I'm sure future clientele would benefit greatly if he took onboard customer feedback.
