“How do the Germans eat so much!”

Located in Crows Nest, the place is very germanic with dark wood and enclosed booths. Good range of german beers, and a very germanic menu. The food was served with teutonic effeciency, and a bit clinical, but with generous proportions.

“So-so”

This a good place for after work drinks but the food is so-so. I was disappointed that a "German" place didn't serve better sausages. Anyway, I washed down the disappointing food with some decent beer.

“Nice hidden place”

This place is cross between a bar and cafe with a nice atmosphere. Its tucked away on O'Connell St and a great place for getting a bite and drink with friends.

“A little piece of germany”

Great for a festive group gathering. Great décor and location. Live music. Traditional staff. Delicious food. a bit pricey.

“Don't miss this place!”

Atmosphere: Very modern and clean. Upstairs in noisy with central bar and downstairs is a little larger and quieter. A few screens around with rugby/sports.
Seating: Tables for all size groups, 2,4, 8, 10, 12 with communal tables too. Mostly wooden benches but some chairs.
Food: German, german and some lighter salads, calamari, onion rings. Really great food and good quality veal, chicken. All sorts of schnitzel, sausages, etc. They also have some modern twists on traditional german cooking but really well cooked and not too greasy for breaded and fried meat.
Drinks: Beer, beer and schnapps. Yum. Small, medium and large mugs in your hands and suspended from the bar in over head racks. Well done.
Service: Everyone was so friendly and attentive it was shocking compared to other places of the same price. We where looked after by several attendants besides our server. Well done again.
Price: dinner and 2 drinks around $40AUD per person
