I confess to not being any sort of expert on Japanese food, but this restaurant deserves a review.
We (6 of us) allowed the waiter to choose the courses and what a good decision that turned out to be!! In all we had 7 dishes with each of them beautifully presented, although perhaps 6 dishes would have been enough. The seared scallop carpaccio was sublime, as was the baked eggplant and the Riverina lamb finished off a great dining experience, but every dish was delicious. The other dishes on the menu looked good and I would think you could order anything with confidence
The service was excellent, very attentive without being intrusive; each dish was described both expertly and interestingly. Even the little things were well covered, with the waitress looking after the water simply refusing to allow an empty glass on the table!!
The place was packed on the Saturday night we went, so I suspect bookings are a good idea.
