Really enjoyed a very good luncheon, excellent service, good food variety, taste and innovation. Caprese salad, chicken salad, rump sammy all very tasty, and a basket of fries with a dynamite aoli rounded us off.

Just across the road from the beach, this is a small, slightly quirky establishment that serves tremendous food, particularly breakfast. Good alternative to a hotel breakfast buffet, it was full almost permanently, and the fare illustrated why. Perfect warm-up for a day doing as little as possible on the beach.

This cafe serves consistently good breakfasts and very good coffee. The breakfast salad is a nice change from the usual eggs and bacon routine that you usually see on cafe menus (however, most cafes in coogee have quite innovative menus) and the spelt muesli with honey poached pears is a firm favourite for me and my friends. The decor is very 'now' with untreated wood and dark tiles making the walls a feature. You can reserve a table if you have a social occasion or just don't like to wait, but I always find the wait is not too long. I haven't eaten here for lunch or dinner so I can't comment on those menus. The only thing I would like to see is a breakfast special every now and then to mix the menu up a little. Def worth a visit!

Had brekky. Food took 45 minutes, There was only one other table there. Bacon and eggs don't take that long. Coffee was served in smallest cups I have seen in Australia. And not all that cheap.
