We went to the Oxford Social around 6pm on a Monday night and were seated right away. I saw the reviews but was surprised that there was no que (even after we finished eating, there were still quite a few tables.) This restaurant is absolutely amazing, so good that for the rest of our trip every time we would go eat somewhere else we would say, "nope, not as good as the Oxford Social." (with that being said you may want it to be your last meal in Sydney or you could go there multiple times!)

We had the polenta with gorgonzola and mushrooms sauce and the baked chicken stuffed with spinach and wrapped in ham on top of an amazing sauce. I would recommend both these meals.

I took a number of colleagues here for a dinner on 8 August and we were not disappointed. We started by sharing a number of grazing plates and while all were delicious the stand outs were the baked polenta with forest mushrooms ($15) and the arancini balls ($15). Numerous restaurants get both these types of dishes horribly wrong but we were all very impressed. Mains consisted of mostly the john dory ($28), lamb shank and beef fillet ($30). All were cooked perfectly to varying requests. No room for dessert. Good wine list and again very reasonable priced. Service was very attentive. Plus, there is a cab rank right out the front. I'll definetly return.

Has been on my list to try for a while and at last got the chance. Nicely laid out restaurant with sliding panels that provide full opening onto street in fine weather. On a cool winter's night was cosy inside with panels and front door closed. Service throughout the night was excellent. We shared starters of whiting fillets, prawns and scallops. All were superb. Across the group we had mains of duck, lamb, pasta and chicken which gave us a good feel for the range of meals on offer. No complaints and a lot of compliments for each dish. Desserts were tempting and did not let down the high standard we were experiencing. Restaurant is fully licenced with moderate cocktail list and a fair selection of wines by bottle or glass. Would happily return and feel good value for money.

We chose the Oxford Social from reviews and we were rewarded with a meal that was a delight, the food was plentiful and amazing. The Service was spot on, wines were reasonable priced with a good selection. We started with the grilled scallops and hash cakes, we then shared the pork belly. No room for desert, which was a shame as the menu looked wonderful.
