China Lane is a great addition to Sydney city dining. Staff are friendly and efficient providing just the right amount of attention through the evening. Having eaten several times at China Doll, I spent the night making comparisons in my mind, and all were positive. Being a group of 4, we chose the banquet menu to make things easy, there were 2 choices, and everyone at the table agreed afterwards that it was the way to go to experience a wonderful array of flavours across a quality range of entrees, mains and dessert. Each course comes out separately so there was no problem fitting plates on the table and serving size provided plenty for each person from each offering. We didn't leave hungry. The kitchen was very accommodating when asked to alter one dish to suit one member of our group. Wine list is good and fairly priced by Sydney standards. Came away thinking overall better value for money at China Lane than its big sister at Woolloomooloo (maybe it's a premium for the view!) but you will still find me a fan of both establishments.
