I thought the experience would be similar to that of being inside a museum or art gallery and wasn’t sure if the kids would like it. Surprisingly we spent over 2 hours there so make sure you use public transport or find a cheaper parking station (usually on the weekends) to visit. Food is not a problem as it is located in busy Darling Harbour.
We bought the ticket on line as they had an offer of a choice of 3 great attractions in Sydney for a great price, look up SYDNEY MULTI-ATTRACTION PASS DEAL.
Once in there you will find rooms of life size, life like waxed figures of famous movie super stars, super heroes, sports stars, music stars, royal family and important people that have impacted our world, there is even one of ET. It’s good to see so many Australian waxed figures there as well.
What makes it different from a museum is that you are encouraged to pose and take pictures next to your favourite figure. They supply props that you wear and use to make your photos come to life. Some rooms are quite dark or have special lighting (flashing lights)which makes taking great photos a pain. My advice is, don’t be afraid to put a prop on and take a photo along side your favourite wax statue ,make sure you get your kids involved. Check out some of our cool photo and get some inspiration from our YouTube video, Will definitely visit again soon as they keep upgrading changing and adding to their collection . Best Sydney Parks

I'm so glad to hear that you and your family had a great couple of hours with us taking advantage of the use our props and interactive sets to bring your photos to life!

You're indeed correct that purchasing a combo pass online is a great way to save time and $$$. It sounds like you have made a pretty cool YouTube video, we will be sure to look out for it!

Thank you again for visiting us and taking the time to leave a wonderful review. If there is any other way we can be of assistance please don't hesitate to reach out to us in a private message.

We planned to visit sealife but end up visiting Madame Tussauds as well. You can buy tickets online at a discount price.

I am a bit worry that my four years old will find it a bit boring and indeed she was. Things change when she saw her superhero, Wonder Woman. The wax figure made to perfection, and we get to take photos with the royal families — a great half-day tour.

My wife and I came here and loved seeing the wax models. Most are very life like. This particular one is Sydney is smaller than those in London and Amsterdam for example, but just as expensive. I think worldwide they're a bit too expensive, and what leaves a particularly bad taste in your mouth is trying to charge you for a photo taken at the start and also with the royal family. Why with the royal family? It's clearly a money grab, as if you haven't paid enough to get in!
But that aside, it is a great attraction, and it would be lots of fun for families. I do recommend it.

Hi Macca_MJ!

I'm so glad to hear that you and your wife loved our collection of figures! You are indeed correct in saying we are a little smaller than our bigger sister in London, but with over 150 years experience under her belt, I think we can catch up soon!

I am sorry to hear however that you didn't find the value for money outstanding. We certainly take this on board for future planning and will always strive to ensure our attractions are in tip top shape for our guests years to come. With regards to the photo opportunities, these are designed to be just this, opportunities. We want to ensure that we are providing all guests the opportunity to take home some wonderful memories that may be a little more than the regular selfie. In saying this though, we absolutely pride ourselves in seeing the amazingly creative photos our guests take with any of our friendly team willing to help you take shots on your own device too.

Thank you for taking the time to leave us a review Macca, we appreciate the opportunity to take this on board and look forward to seeing you again soon! Worth a visit if you're in Sydney and have an hour or two spare. It's not very big so won't take you too long to get through. Some figures look good. Marvel section was good. Probably an attraction you'd do once.

Got a two attractions pass and decided to visit Madame Tussauds. Kids loved the dressing up and having photos taken with celebs. Surprisingly, most the photos looks really good. Adults even got caught up in the fun acting out superhero and iconic ET scenes. Was a fun 1hr 30mins - probably would go again now we've done it.
