“Complete disappointment. Very small and not worth the money at all!”
Reviewed March 20, 2013

I visited Madame Tussaud Sydney this March and I was very disappointed. I have read good reviews here in tripAdvisor before selecting it. But unfortunately it does not go well. They have kind of 50 statues in total (average 5 in 10 sections)! Mostly are Australian born Hollywood stars I would say like Nicole Kidman, Hugh Jackman etc. Statues are the same ones that they have on the Madame Tussaud leaflet found in tourist places. Check the leaflet before you decide whether seeing only these statues worth the money of 38 AUD (online 27AUD) or not! If this is a new museum fine, they should have cut down the price until they enrich it with more statues.

“Best 'touristy' thing we did”
Reviewed March 18, 2013

We visited Madame Tussauds last Friday with our three kids 3, 11 and 12 and we all had a great time. Was just the right size for all of us to have a good time without getting bored. This is a very hands on museum and they even have props that you can use to pose for your photos. Needless to say our youngest had fun dressing up while the older two had fun spotting famous people (and dressing up). There was a good cross section of famous people as well.
When we went it wasn't very busy but I can see that during busy periods it may get a little frustrating waiting for your turn for a photo opportunity.

“Bit of fun”
Reviewed March 18, 2013

Visiting Madame Tussauds was one of my top things to do in Sydney having seen photos of friends who have gone to the one in London. It was a great experience and we got some good photos, saw people doing a lot of silly poses etc. Just what we thought it was going to be. We were expecting it to be a little bigger with more figures but it was very well laid out etc. And not forced into taking the photos in fact there was no one there waiting when we left but we looked and found ours anyway.

“An excellent presentation and day out”
Reviewed March 18, 2013

Visited with the youngest and what a blast. She loved every moment and we could not keep her away from posing with the many mannequins and look a likes. A wide range of actors and stars are displayed and you have full access to them all. There are no restrictions with posing or hugging the mannequins, while suitable props are provided for the more enthusiastic members who wish to be photographed. I have been to several other similar Tussaud shows and I would rate this as the best I have seen. Very well done and worth the visit.
