Hostel is dirty, too tiny for the amount of people, and bed bugs!! Only hostel I have been completely disappointed with in all my travels. People in our dorm had previously told the front desk about the bed bugs and they still put us in the room continuing the cycle after we left as well.

The rooms are ok, but nothing special, the bed is just a rack! Ok for 2-3 nights, yes maybe you get used to it.
The hostel looks very dirty and the kitchen is really bad, too small for so many people! The bathroom is not the cleanest, but ok, the staff is very nice and helpful! Room to the street very loud at the weekend!!

This hostel is in a good location in Kings Cross. It is lively and a good price if your looking for a cheap stay. People are complaining about not getting to sleep here, but it is a sort of party hostel, so it should be expected. If you are looking for a good time and to meet new friends then I highly recommend it. They did a free barbecue one night and I had a free breakfast every morning that was served in the travel agents next door. Kings Cross is a good area to go out drinking and this hostel is not far from the underground station.

Horrendous, absolutely horrendous. It was noisey and the people have zero respect for you or your things. I stayed for a week and was debating letting them have the rest by the fourth day because it's impossible to get any sleep. The people are loud and rude. Forget about sleeping and to top it off they came in in the middle of the night to clean and literally febreezed me in my sleep. I will be glad to leave and will never return.

Hump backpackers is definitely one of the best hostels I’ve ever stayed in. Apart from the incredible group of people staying here, the facilities exceeded the standard in the area. Decently sized kitchen with an OVEN!! Great common rooms built for socializing, it’s cleaned constantly throughout the day, and the staff are lovely. Lockers are big, wifi is great, and there’s always events like taco Tuesday, BBQs, movie night, etc. The breakfast is stellar, especially after you’ve gotten used to the typical cornflakes and white bread that other hostels have. Great location too, in the heart of kings cross right next to everything you need. It’s hard to leave this place! Only thing, it’s probably not the best place for short term stays unless you’re really outgoing.
