The room was ok.The hotel i old and needs a facelift. The staff is polite and helpful. Problems with instalations in the room was quickly fixed. The breakfast is ok if you like eggs and bacon and cereals. The hotel is situated near a smal and nice park, short way to the main street .It is situated in a safe and quiet area. We travelled around the town all day and used the rom only for sleep.

Dear Josh W,

Thank you for your recent stay in Aspire Hotel Sydney and for the time taken to leave your feedback. We are glad that you have overall enjoyed your stay in our hotel and that you had a nice time in Sydney. We always try to offer a great value for money accommodation with a friendly service to all our guests.

The quiet and convenient location of our property is something which preferred especially by many of our guests who have events to attend in the nearby area or to visit the city. We are currently looking into a gradual refurbishment of the hotel, and we hope to further provide guests with more comfortable stays.

I hope that we will be able to welcome you again at the hotel the next time you visit Sydney.

Very cheap for Sydney, and in a good location only a 5 minute walk to the heart of Darling Harbour. Visuals of the hotel are out-dated but somewhat comfortable at the same time. Great for the budget traveller who wants close access to the sights of Sydney CBD/Darling Harbour.

As a native Sydneysider, I have no idea why people want to visit my home town. It is priced like Zurich, Oslo or Tokyo, and I don't really see the return for your money. You will get luxury service in Bangkok or KL for the price of a bare-bones-service hotel in Sydney. Having said that, this review is based on the idea that Sydney is horribly overpriced. We will judge the Aspire on Sydney costs, not on what this money would buy you in other Asia-Pacific cities.

Set in the somewhat leafy suburb of Ultimo, the Aspire Hotel is close to Darling Harbour and Chinatown (Haymarket). There are numerous (relatively) cheap eat options in the area, as well as upmarket eating options for the well-heeled.

The hotel itself is a "medium" option, with clean rooms, balconies, bathtubs and tea/coffee facilities. We got it for $110 a night, which is less than most people seem to have paid. It might be worthwhile to look for discounts on this hotel.

The quiet and convenient location of our property is something which preferred especially by guests who have events to attend in the nearby area and also by guests who want to visit Sydney’s most famous landmarks because where are located close to CBD. Also we are currently looking into a gradual refurbishment of the hotel, and we hope to further provide guests with more comfortable stays.
In regards about pricing we always try to offer the best possible rates to our customers and we also have specials for early bookings.

We stayed at the Aspire for 5 nights and found it to be fairly near to most amenities - about 10 mins walk to Central Station and Darling Harbour, main bus route at the bottom of the road.
Our room was rather 'tired' but everything worked and the room was serviced daily. The room was large which was one of the reasons for choosing this hotel, as many seem to have pokey rooms. The bed was comfortable and there was a verandha, but no furniture to sit out there, which was a shame.
If you turn left out of the hotel there are 2 good cafes 1min walk up the road where you can get a cheaper breakfast than in the hotel.
Basically if all you want is somewhere to sleep at night than this is a good hotel for you.

Room Tip: Ask for a room away from the lifts as they were a little noisey.

We booked three nights in that hotel, just based on pretty good price. Sydney can be pretty expensive and that hotel had a pretty good rate. Me and my wife we were very pleasantly surprised. Yes hotel is a little aged and elevators are slow. And that's all ! Hotel has a great location, walking distance to the harbor, walking distance to all the shopping and restaurants. All the buses are 2 blocks away. Rooms are large and clean, staff extremely friendly and area very safe. I strongly recommend that hotel for all the travelers who don't like backpacking hostels but don't like to pay top dollars for 4 star hotels.

Stayed the nights of 4 and 5 February 2014 at the Aspire Hotel. Room was comfortable with double and single beds and a balcony. Bulwara Road is quiet and a 10-minute walk from the central train station. Shops and restaurants are also close. Room valued at A$148 per night. Breakfast available for an additional $15. Recommended for a quiet stay in Sydney.
