“Relaxed shopping. ”
Reviewed July 21, 2014 via mobile

A good place to start in the CBD as the pedestrian mall branches off to other malls and centres (per previous reviews). Good for kids too as there's always buskers with lots of colour, music etc. Also handy if you need a chemist (there's a big Soul Patinson) and Medicare have an office there too. If you're after lunch lower ground floor under Myer there's a food court as well as a good one on Level 5 of Westfields.

“Fabuolous place to shop!”
Reviewed June 9, 2014

This is a great place for some retail therapy, the big international brands are here and so are great local ones.
There's plenty of places to eat, and also live music is often being played there.
While I hated the fact that there were so many smokers outside where many shops were, I still enjoyed walking along the pedestrian shopping strip.
Definitely would recommend visiting this place if you're in Sydney.

“Good shopping, nice pedestrian thoroughfare”
Reviewed June 7, 2014

OK, a bit of perspective on the four star rating here. Basically if this was judged as an 'attraction' it would rank lower. My score reflects the fact that;

There is a very upbeat vibe to this pedestrian only shopping strip in the middle of Sydney.

It is full of name brands so you can have the thrill of paying more than you need to from shops that have to make up for massive overheads.

You can watch other similarly infected shop-a-holics do the same thing.

You should have no trouble using this area of Sydney as a springboard for actual sightseeing such as the nearby Centrepoint Tower (now known as the Sydney Eye) or the nearby Hyde Park with is ANZAC Memorial, the Queen Victoria Building and the Strand Arcade for even more gratuitous shopping or any of the literally dozens of eateries and restaurants within a one or two block radius of this mall.

If on the other hand the idea of swanning about in overpriced name brand stores holds little appeal then you will probably still see this place on your wandering about the city if you spend any time here at all.

“One of the better shopping malls in central Sydney”
Reviewed February 4, 2014

Shopping here was good, but nothing amazing a lot of overpriced goods but a very large selection/ brands of clothes on sale which was great!. The best thing about this mall is the very central location and THE FOOD COURT, the food court was a m a z i n g ! however like the rest of the mall was very overpriced. It however compensated for this by its large selection of different cuisines, and a lot of delicate desserts (which i'm a sucker for). I would definitely stop here for lunch! and if you're on a larger budget shopping is great here! but some of the sales were very good too. Comparing it to other central Sydney shopping areas it was better than most, however if you're planning a shopping trip to sydney on an average budget, I suggest going elsewhere.

“Shopper's paradise”
Reviewed November 19, 2013 via mobile

I'm not really into shopping malls but the malls really attract me. Especially those in the arcades. The area is very nice. The street is also quite wide since there's a lot of people. So, it's not like Chinatown where u hv to squeeze around people
