It was like stepping back in time entering the Eternity cafe/bat at Central Station. I cant believe it's the first time I have ventured in there since it opened in October 2018. It is so beautiful with it's majestic high ceilings and original stained glass windows and very spacious layout. Plenty of room for people with prams and suitcases to get around. It's warm and inviting and at the same time open and quiet. It almost feels like a library that serves food and drink. A real oasis in this bustling busy city environment. The coffee was mediocre at best but I will be returning just for the atmosphere.
Signage is confusing and baby pram awkward. There were lifts but distances to walk to find them was long and as we were still unsure my daughter folded pram and carried it and baby up the stairs whilst I carried shopping. Not easy there must be others who struggle with this as well

The wait staff are rude and the food is horrible. I wouldn’t want my worst enemy to eat the garbage they dish up. The food isn’t even fit for the disease ridden pigeons that roam freely around the restaurant to eat.
Terrible service! We had the waitress yelling and screaming at us for no reason. Give it a miss if you can.
This place has got the right mix. Good uncomplicated food at reasonable prices with table service. Excellent coffee and good wine selection. They have retained the heritage atmosphere of the building.
