Following a week away in Mollymook (highly recommended) we needed a place for just one night before the long flight back to the UK. First impressions from the outside is that it is lacking maintenance, you will see many examples of painting over flaking paint. The reception is non existent. You knock on a door and when is opened you enter some sort some sort of staff rest room with a desk against the wall. My wife wanted to leave! The staff are very friendly, no complaints at all. We were allocated a room in a building opposite on the third floor. Carrying two cases at 30kgs up three flights of stairs is no joke so if you are booking, request a ground floor room.
The room was very clean, the sheets/towels etc pristine and it was the best bed we had slept in during our stay, sort of a Queen Bed I would guess.
We did not have a car but parking is very limited and you would have to be good to get in and out without a '49 point turn'!
Last tip. The key they give you does not lock the door, it only opens it. You have to push the button in on the inside door handle and then just close it. If it had a reception, and some more care it could easily move to 4/5 stars. Finally, if you were using at as a base it looked to have everything you could need for a longer stay, like a self contained room really.

Hello 655alano,

By the sounds of your review, you stayed at our Waldorf apartments in Drummoyne, rather than our Sydney Central location.

However it is great to read that you enjoyed your stay.
On the assumption that you did indeed stay at Drummoyne, we are aware that the outside of the building is in need of some love, but the inside of our apartments are cared for and in good condition. We appreciate that you gave us a chance.

We hope that you enjoyed your trip in Sydney and New South Wales.

I guess in its past this hotel would have been a premier hotel. Mornings with horses ‘blowing off’ after their trackwork, the buzz of anticipation from clockworkers, trainers, strappers and jockeys alike. The smell of potential in the air! What a great location for the horse racing enthusiast.
Currently it’s past lies hidden in the well worn carpets, the dints in the plaster and cupboards and wardrobes that fail to open due their overuse.
Resurrected this could return to its former glory yet right now be aware of what you’re renting!

Hi stevehB3641ZN,

Thank you for your charismatic review of our property.
We hope that overall you enjoyed the facilities we provide in our apartments.

We advertise to be a 3 star property, and we feel that this is the best way to describe our apartments.
Your review definitely correlates with this star rating, only worded in a more interesting way.

We hope that our apartments will appeal to you again on your next stay in Sydney.

When the cleaner arrived to clean the apartment I was staying, the lady at the reception was extremely rude to her with no reason at all! Maybe she was just having a bad day, but no excuses to treat someone like that! Terrible service!

We stayed for a night in a studio apartment. It was a bit dated yes, and the balcony needed a good scrub, but everything else was very clean and very convenient. The washer/dryer was a bit of a life saver at this point of our holiday as we had some awful weather we hadn't expected. They thought about the small details - such as laundry detergent, extra garbage bags and dish soap in the fully equipped kitchen and bathroom. All the electronics were working though we needed to hook up the tv (maybe because no one used it before lol) but that's not a problem.

The location is great! About a 10 minute +- uber ride (we left our car in the parking basement - free parking!) to the city center/attractions (Circular Quay area).

All in all a great stay - no complaints for us, and we wouldn't have minded staying a couple more nights. Would recommend, would stay again :)

the bed was comfy, the free parking was great. just the fact your trying to sleep on a main rd puts a dampen on the mood.

trucks roaring past all night, sirens, and not to mention the street light lighting up your room all night...

close to the CBD is a plus. but thats about it..
