What can I say!!! From the welcome from staff as soon as we walked through the door, to the food, cocktails and to top it off our waiter ADAM!
This whole experience has given me faith that as a customer we are just not a number in a seat, our waiter Adam made us feel so relaxed and his vibe was electric, never felt so comfortable from a waiter. His cocktail and food recommendations were spot on. Thank you for making my birthday an experience I will not forget.
Will recommend to anyone to hit this restaurant up!

Altho service is just so so,
Not much selection of food, but their ingredient was amazing and fresh.
Higly recomended.
But the restaurant seems too hot for me, either the heater is too much or ppl love hot AC.

The food was good and presented nicely. The service was quite unprofessional and somewhat very annoying. The waitress who looked after our table seems to be very new and not competent. Our conversation over dinner was interrupted all the time and eventually we were given up and just wanted to finish our meal and left as soon as possible. Not a place for a lovely dinner catch up or business dinner.

I have been coming back here since I quite like the food and the food presentation. Drink selection is big and interesting too. What annoying me the most particularly on the last night was the service. In general, the service is good and attentive. But when it comes to saying “attentive”, it involved so many interruptions on our conversation asking us about the feedback of every dishes while we were still munching. The waitress was too keen to clear table as soon as the plates were empty and even took our unfinished Sake bottle without asking if we had finished that drink!
I know it’s a common practice for a good service to be attentive and I have been to Sokyo before without experiencing this type of interruptive service.
Thus when the waitress kept coming to our table and even when we haven’t finished the last round of our main dishes, she was still asking if we “have finished” and needed a dessert menu! (I ordered a second round of one of my favourite dish and it just arrived five mins beforehand and there were three bites left on the plates when she asked!) We feel that this is too attentive and we cannot enjoy our dinner at its most plus we cannot have any good and smooth conversation over dinner where it supposed to be a great catch up with great food.
At first, we thought she wanna push us to leave but when checking the time, we still have 30 mins left and that was plenty for us to order dessert. We did order dessert and finished the whole meal within the two hours timeframe. And when we wanted to ask for the bill, she was no where to be seen and we had to wait for 10mins!?! We did give the waitress some gratitude though because we always appreciated people who work in service. By providing this comment it’s because we are hoping to see improvements if they care to do so. I personally would love to still come back to dine-in here but if the service would still be like this, I would definitely stop taking my colleagues, my overseas guests and my family to Sokyo.
