“Beautiful, tranquil, and peaceful.”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed January 2, 2014

Had an enormous amount of fun here. A mate and I just wanted something to kill some time, and the entry is cheap, so we checked it out.

Before too long, I'd taken over 100 photos, and we were even putting on Chinese costumes and getting our photos taken.

The place is beautiful, and is worth the time.

“Interesting and good value”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed January 1, 2014

For $11 I obtained entry into the gardens, a pot of green tea and dumplings - very good value.

The signage around the gardens offers interesting information about why things have been placed as they have, the dragon walk in magnificent and the huge koi in the lake are fun. Sitting having a pot if tea a dragon lizard wandered past the table - cue much photo taking.

Most of the garden has steps and non-smooth paths, not suitable for wheelchairs or pushchairs.

“Peace and tranquility in the heart of Darling Harbour”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed December 29, 2013 via mobile

What a beautiful gardens. Water everywhere and a traditional style Chinese tea house serving dumplings, cakes and a variety of Chinese teas. Some of the tables overlook the lake filled with Koi fish and ducks. We visited twice in one week just to escape the business of Xmas festive season. I loved this oriental delight.

“Chinese Garden of Friendship”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed December 28, 2013

The Garden of Friendship is a magnificent gift from the Australian Chinese people to the city, it is hard to believe you are in central Sydney. The garden design and the tranquil surroundings give one such a sense of peace that you come away totally refreshed. We will return when next in Sydney.

“Chinese Garden: an oasis in the urban environment”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed December 27, 2013

This tranquil and soothing garden is just what the doctor ordered. Everywhere you turn there is beauty and enchantment, from the pool with fish, to the waterfall. You will get so much from visiting this site. We can't recommend it enough.
