Owner description: A haven of tranquility in Sydney's bustling Chinatown, this fascinating garden with waterfalls, bridges and fish-filled ponds was designed by experts from China and reflects designs dating back to the 5th century.

What a perfect spot to reflect and enjoy the Chinese culture after a hectic day!
Wandering around ponds full of colourful fish, taking shelter under the beautiful trees while watching tourists and locals enjoying dressing up in traditional Chinese dress! Taking in the culture of a different land right in the middle of Australia,s most interesting city, Sydney.
Well worth the small entrance fee for a full afternoons dalliance.
Easy to get t either walking the small distance from the city centre, ferry stop in Darling Harbour or you can take the tourist train and see all the extractions of beautiful Darling Harbour before you enter this paradise called The Chinese Garden of Friendship.

We so much enjoyed the beautiful peaceful gardens in the heart of Darling Harbour. We really enjoyed the tea deal we bought with our entry ticket it was delicious. One of us had the dim Sims, the other the scones and shared all was great. The gardens are beautifully kept and maintained. We had the bonus of a wedding while we were there. Keep up the amazing work.

These Chinese gardens, as spectacular as they are, are in an odd spot. Regardless, they're beautiful. If you've got some spare time and are nearby they're definitely worth a visit but if you're strapped for time you may be better giving it a miss.

Visited the garden right when it opened in the morning. What a delight! There are several vignettes within the garden and all of them are gorgeous! The garden is not that large, but it is very interesting and gorgeous. Well worth the cost of admission.

These gardens are indeed magical. Very beautiful and tranquil. Located at one end of Darling Harbour, accessible by Hop-on, Hop-of bus, monorail, and ferries. Bring your camera!
