My husband and I booked a dinner cruise with Captain Cook Cruises so that we could enjoy the awesome views of the harbor. It was a very relaxing trip with delicious food. The staff was courteous, but the band did not play the entire two hours. They stopped for a half hour as we began to eat dinner. This was very odd. I also wanted to mention that the boat's windows were tinted very dark so it was difficult to see outside at night. We ended up going on the deck to take pictures.

Dear Jamie M,

Thanks so much for your wonderful review of your recent dinner cruise with us on Sydney Harbour. We agree that the best way to see Sydney is from the harbour, and that you greatly enjoyed your food and customer service. The band stops to ensure that customers whom wish to converse over dinner may do so, although only for twenty minutes. We agree the views from the Star Deck are definitely a prime spot for photos.

Once again many thanks.

Booked a whale watching trip a few days ago and didn't know how much we'd actually get to see of the whales. We were really lucky that there were quite a few out that day and they came really close to the boats. It still pays to have a good zoom on your camera, but we managed to catch quite a bit of action with ours. Be prepared for some rough water, and if you have a weak stomach it may be best avoided. I actually spent the entire trip, bar the first 30 mins with my head in my lap, but I got to see the whales! It was good value for money for those who weren't feeling sick, as it was discounted for the school holidays, and they also kept us out an extra half hour over the allotted time.

My daughter and i were visiting from NZ and took this cruise to view the lights and harbour at night on Saturday the 8th June 2013. What a bad mistake!!! The boat arrived at 7.35 and we were seated at our table once the reception lady had finally gone threw sheets of paper to find our name. We then waited 45 minutes to get a drink after asking a number of times. It seemed the staff did not no what they were doing.
Finally we managed to get a drink only to wait another 30minutes on top of the 45 minutes to get our meal. It was dumped on the table by the waiter who seemed to on another planet. The table next door to us and behind us all suffered with the same experience. The chicken meal was horrible! The plates had greasy finger marks all over them as if they were not clean.
The only thing that was half decent was the dessert and by the time we got that all we wanted to do was get off the boat. When it came time to pay for the 1 and only drink we managed to get i had to chase the staff for my change and receipt. The whole night was a very bad experience and i would like to suggest that perhaps they should send their staff on desperately needed training courses. As visitors to your country it was not a good look.

As part of Tourism at TAFE students have to create an actual Day Tour. My team the Bond Tours chose to go on a Captain Cook Coffee Cruise on the 5th of June 2013. We took 37 students and 3 teachers and had a great time. The commentary from Sally that afternoon was just fantastic and educational it's recommended to everybody!

Last night we had the most outrages dinner: all the staff inluding people who direct you in front of the ship to the waiters inside are absolutely confused, no one gives you professional answer, delays delays delays...wated for a glass of juice 30 min, kept asking for it many times. The same with the food, waited 45 min to start serving food. Lots of waiters but they just go up and down not having a clue what they should do, gosh, who hires people without customer service and no adequate skills? Maybe cheap labour? All tables around us had the same experience. Main came and barramundi was so overcooked that it looked like chunk of chicken! Choice and presentation of food overall ... Gosh, any home meal is made with more love and imagination. Not to mention horrible music choice that was on and off, on and off.... At the end, we asked waiter for a glass of water, he wrote down the order (!)and never came back.. Probably lost his notes...my husband and me work for the well known hotels for many years and We would never ever recommend your embarassing, rip off dinner cruize to anyone. Shame on you Captain Cook Cruize Management!!!!
